Last week, the Seldon team was proudly named winners of two of the most prestigious awards at this year’s Global Business Tech Awards: with the entire team being awarded the title of Small Tech Company of the Year, and Seldon’s founder and CEO Alex Housley being recognised as Tech Entrepreneur of the Year. Seldon was joined on the list of winners by an impressive roster of companies from across a variety of sectors.
The Global Business Tech Awards recognise companies that are creating, deploying, or adopting new technologies that add tangible benefits to businesses, consumers, and society at large, as well as having an impressive story of growth and success.
When it came to naming ‘Tech Company of the Year’ in the small enterprise category, the judges were looking for firms that had made a mark during the last year with a clear commitment to tech innovation. In choosing Seldon as the winner, the judges cited our incredible success and impressive vision for accelerating the deployment of machine learning across all sectors.
The judges also noted the clear impact Seldon’s technology has had on users and customers, with organisations reporting productivity gains of up to 92% from using Seldon’s technology. In addition, the judge’s commended Seldon’s work in expanding and developing our team amid the pandemic, and the level of faith and trust we put in our colleagues.
Alex Housley’s win of ‘Tech Entrepreneur of the Year’ was the final award of the night, and recognises an entrepreneur with the “x-factor”. The judges believed that in his work leading the Seldon team, Alex has created a business with a very strong product market fit and with an extremely impressive track record of growth. Additionally, the judges also cited the great results that Seldon’s technology is delivering for its customers, and how Alex is helping to drive greater adoption of machine learning and all the commercial and social benefits that come with it.
