Seldon hosts first virtual and global TensorFlow Meetup

For the April TensorFlow Meetup, the Seldon team, alongside speakers from Atheros.ai and Google, were delighted to host attendees from all over the world as the event went virtual for the first time.

The meetup, held on 15th April, welcomed 157 attendees from over 30 countries across the world. Making the most of our international audience and Zoom capabilities, our first speaker David Mráz, Co-founder at Atheros.ai gave a stellar talk on text classification with transformers from Prague. Our second talk was from Jason Mayes, Senior Developer Advocate for TensorFlow.js at Google who was beamed in from San Francisco. He introduced some of the superpowers you can gain by using TensorFlow.js in the browser and beyond.

We’re committed to keep meeting up, albeit virtually, for the foreseeable future and keep the Tensorflow community going and growing. It’s great to see the support and excitement from participants who were previously unable to attend our London-based meetups as well as the engagement from the audience throughout the talks.
